How the Earworx Procedure Works
Earwax plays an important role in ear health, but excess wax can cause problems. When wax builds up inside of the ear, it can become hard and impacted, resulting in multiple problems such as discomfort, pain, difficulty hearing and more.
The Earworx procedure is designed to remove earwax gently and safely, using the advanced microsuction technique that is used and recommended by Ear Nose and Throat specialists.
Our friendly Registered Nurses begin by examining the inside of your ear using ‘loupes’ that are specially designed binocular glasses that allow them to see inside of your ear canal. If they determine that you need one of our extraction procedures, they will continue to visualise your ear canal throughout to ensure we are taking care of your ears and removing the entire blockage.
Microsuction works like a tiny vacuum to remove excess wax out of the ear. It is a dry technique which is safe and extremely effective for removing earwax.

Pricing
Our qualified registered nurses use dry and effective micro suction to gently remove ear wax under direct observation.
The standard appointment fee for ear wax removal with Earworx is $175.
We offer a concession appointment fee for Pensioners, Veterans, Government Health Care Card Holders, Children, and Full-Time Students for $125.
If no ear wax is found during your appointment, we offer a reduced rate of $85 for the consultation (or $65 for concession).
If further follow up appointments are required after additional softening (within 4 weeks of initial appointment), all follow up appointments will be charged at a rate of $80 for standard fee paying patients (or $50 for concession).
A regular return rate applies for patients who attend within 3 months or more frequently. This is $105 for regular return standard fee paying patients and $95 for regular concession/pension card holders.
Please note we are a provider for St Lukes Health and Health Care Insurance (HCI).
We also see children aged 4 years or older. A discussion with Earworx staff is recommended prior to booking. For safety reasons children need to be able to follow direction and keep reasonably still.

Lili has established herself across diverse healthcare settings including cardiac critical care at Flinders Medical Centre, post-operative care at Flinders Private Hospital and perioperative nursing at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.
Lili creates an environment where patients feel supported by providing truly person-centered care. Her experience in health care and ability to offer emotional support during challenging situations ensures patients feel confident and comfortable throughout their micro-suction treatment.
When she’s not caring for patients, Liliana enjoys exploring her adopted home country and staying connected with her multicultural heritage.

Tahlia Matulick brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a patient-centred approach to her role as a Registered Nurse at Earworx.
